‘Easy to like’ from Masion & Objet Paris

The Masion & Objet Paris is an international lifestyle trade fair dedicated to showcasing the latest fashions and trends in interior design, decorations, furniture, accessories, textiles and more. This  trade show is a unique experience to discover, inspire and meet like-minded creatives of the world of interior design.

Innovation and talent were really overwhelming at September 2016 show in Paris. Therefore would like to highlight some of our favorite pieces:

GamFratesi

We loved the modern Targa sofa and lounge by Italian-Danish duo GamFratesi. Both pieces of furniture combine full-upholstery with Vienna woven cane and bentwood, creating an elegant and sophisticated look. Hence the quality and simplicity of these minimalist yet contemporary designs showcase traditional techniques and craftsmanship.

Stellar Works

Another highlight at Masion & Objet Paris was a collaboration series for Stellar Works. We loved the understated exploration of modern masculinity seen in the James collection by Yabu Pushelberg. Above all a stool, desk, chaise and bar trolley made with black metal, walnut wood with sable-tone matte leather are very sleek and contemporary.

Lastly, we can imagine seeing these minimalist pieces in a New York loft apartment with large open spaces and natural light.

Bethan Gray’s

Hard to miss was the sophistication of Bethan Gray’s new Band (coffee, dining and side) table collection. True to the designers signature style we see the use of natural luxurious materials here. Also, combining coloured marble with brushed brass. Therefore these feminine pieces fit seamlessly into a retro chic interior, where you often find traditional designs with a modern twist.

Ooumm

Dan Yeffet’s beautifully designed Orion marble candle holders for Ooumm caught our eye. Due to its unique and bold pieces it reminds us of the old school rolodex, of which the mechanics circle around a central element. Also available in marquina, carrara and emperador escuro marble, the Orion adds character, dimension and light to any space.

BIG

Last but certainly not least we wanted to highlight the innovative modular Alphabet of Light. Which is an installation designed by BIG for Artemide. The geometric LED language allows you to create bespoke lighting for your space, in your own words. Reminiscent of vintage neon signs, the retro lighting adds a touch of playfulness and wonder to the modern day interior design.
