Born in Italy but raised and educated in Paris, France Willy Rizzo has been one of the most eclectic figures in the panorama of modern design. Well known amongst collectors and furniture enthusiasts, Rizzo was not a designer by formation: his main activity was photography, and he was actually extremely good at it. He shot countless of portraits of actors, singers and celebrities, but also did reportage activity.

His beginning as a designer dates to 1966 when, while in Rome, he penned some custom furniture pieces for a hair dresser he knew. The pieces were so much appreciated that he soon began receiving commissions for similar complements.
From then on, he doubled as a photographer and a furniture designer, creating many different pieces all united by the target: rich jet-setters looking for the latest trend in every aspect of life.

The present table, an original design from the early 1970s, is well preserved and absolutely representative of Rizzo’s style. With its diameter of 130cm, it can comfortably accomodate up to six guests. Rendered in essential yet bold lines, it is guaranteed to polarize attention in any room it will be placed in.
