Description
Extremely rare set of four “Segesto” chairs, designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Stildomus in 1976 and part of the “Torcello” series, which consisted of high and low chairs, tables, bookcases and cabinets. The present four pieces, with Italian walnut legs and monocoque seats entirely upholstered in fine tobacco leather, are preserved in pristine conditions. The Segesto chairs are already very rare per se, but these are even less common due to the matte black finishing on the legs – as opposed to the commonly seen natural veneer.
Perfect around a dining table or to set up a conversational space, the chairs are timeless in design and very comfortable to seat in. There are only minor signs of age, and all four chairs are perfectly balanced and with even legs.
