Anfibio armchair by Alessandro Becchi for Giovannetti

The Anfibio sofa, designed by Alessandro Becchi for Giovannetti,  is a rare and iconic piece of Italian 1970s design. It’s a soft and rounded upholstered piece, that effortlessly turns into a comfortable bed by just “unfolding” it after releasing three button-down straps. Its most common version – if such a definition can be used for such a rare model – is the three seater in tobacco leather; less common are all the other upholsteries, which include fabric, velvet and corduroy, in either the three ot two seater version. Finally, the pinnacle of rarity is the one-seater armchair, which is seldom seen in any material, and is almost legendary in corduroy.

It is therefore a big pleasure for us to offer this Anfibio armchair, preserved in great conditions and upholstered in its original black corduroy fabric, which doesn’t only add to the rarity of the piece, but also to its softness and comfort.

Just like everything else on our shop, it can be purchased or rented for shootings and styling.
