Italian Ceramic Sculpture Astrolabio by Giuseppe Lucetti 1984
Astrolabe is a ceramic wall sculpture created by Giuseppe Lucietti in 1984, conceived as a perfectly flat disc that balances geometry, material research and surface experimentation. Made of black porcelain single-fired at 1300°C with reduction, the work features relief elements whose colors red, white and brown are obtained through the controlled use of oxides and salts. The contrast between the opaque grey surface and the chromatic reliefs creates a subtle yet dynamic interplay of light, shadow and texture, transforming the disc into a refined sculptural presence for the wall.
