Vintage Murano Paperweight

Offered for sale is a vintage paper weight or decorative sculpture in clear Murano glass, in the shape of a ball, with an intriguing inlay of bubbles. Carefully manufactured through a complex technique, consisting in an injection of air in the glass while it’s still melting hot, it is extremely well preseerved and very fascinating.

The surface is smooth and does not show signs of the time except for minor and expectable hairlines; it has no chippings, neither on the surface nor alongside the profile of the base. It’s still shiny, and the color of the glass is a nice hue of aquamarine-ish transparent.

It’s attractive simplicity and mesmerizing details make it ideal for setting in a contemporary interior, both used as a paperweight or just as a decorative piece.
