Reclaiming an old Melbourne warehouse.
The Fitzroy project started with an old 1980s industrial warehouse located in the namesake Melbourne suburb. A complete renovation was carried out, transforming the look of the space. Many Italian materials were sourced, including the hexagon marble tiles for the flooring and the joinery.
The kitchen has a strong industrial feel, featuring a concrete countertop and Black Fenix on the cabinetry. Likewise, the bathroom maintains a masculine aspect, thanks to the minimal black framing of the shower and the black tapware – a subtle nod to the thin black framing of the former industrial warehouse.
