Collectible Murano Vase Ettore Sottsass for Vistosi
A highly decorative and rare vintage art glass vase designed in 1974 by the legendary architect and designer Ettore Sottsass for the prestigious Murano furnace, Vistosi. This iconic model is known as the “Moceniga” vase.
The vase features a remarkably sculptural yet beautifully symmetrical silhouette. Its form is elevated by striking geometric contrasts: a wide, solid black collar foot stabilizes the base, while the top rim is playfully adorned with a unique, double-ring structure resembling layered donuts. This playful shape makes it a truly standout artistic object. It functions beautifully as a vase but stands elegantly on its own as a standalone work of sculpture.
In any interior setting, this piece immediately catches the eye. For an incredibly dynamic interior design styling, its vibrant lemon-yellow colour can be perfectly paired with contrasting tones from the opposite side of the colour wheel, such as deep blues or purples.
