Collectible Mid-Century Wood Chair by La Permanente Mobili Cantù, 1959

Collectible chair | Rinaldo Scaioli and Eugenia Alberti Reggio | Vintage pieces

Special piece of mid-century modern design: the 1959 chair by Rinaldo Scaioli and Eugenia Alberti Reggio, made by La Permanente Mobili Cantù. This unique vintage chair is a beautiful mix of wood and metal. It perfectly shows the great skills of Italian makers from that time.

The base of the chair is made of four thin metal pipe legs. These legs are made stronger by a metal sheet wrapped around the bottom part. On top of this metal base sits a solid wooden seat, made from one piece of wood and safely held in place by screws. The wooden top is shaped to fit the body nicely, making it comfortable to sit on. Because of its shape and size, this piece looks a bit more like a stool than a normal chair.

This is a very simple and elegant piece that you can use in many different ways in your home. You can use it normally as a nice place to sit, or you can use it to hold books and make it a beautiful center of attention in the room. It all depends on your own style and vision.
