Big VAMSA Murano Centerpiece

Big, thick, heavy and extremely attractive centerpiece/bowl in clear Murano glass, by legendary manufacturer V.A.M.S.A. (Vetreria Artistica Muranese Società Anonima), established in 1936 by Alfredo Barbini, who also was the main designer and glassmaker.

The piece, incredibly well preserved and absolutely timeless, perfectly embodies the style of the brand with its included “drops” of colored glass, adding a bright accent of electric blue to the clear body. Underneath the base, the original VAMSA acid signature is visible, attesting the originality of the bowl.

Seldom found in such conditions, Murano glass from the 1930s and 1940s has a distinct “handmade” character, exuding immense charm that the expert eye can certainly spot and appreciate. The present object is of outstanding rarity and value, and will certainly be a treasured piece in any thematic collection.
