Giuseppe Ostuni side table

Vintage Italian midcentury side table in brass and glass by Giuseppe Ostuni.

The piece, preserved in stunning original condition, is a wonderful and sculptural side table by Italian designer Giuseppe Ostuni. The color of the glass top and the overall shape of the table look pretty much like creations by Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte, but apparently there was no connection between the designer and manufacturer.

The table has a round crystal top, in a nice shade of Aquamarine, and a single leg with three feet in cast brass. The brass shows a nice warm patina, and the seamless continuity between the leg and feet is remarkable. On top, a T-shaped handle, also in brass, allows to easily lift and move the table around.
